Unusual Front Gardens #28: Baubles

Front garden tree decorated with large baubles for Christmas

Decorating your garden for Christmas isn't a new idea, but I've found a new variation in the form of giant baubles dangling on trees in various locations.

The pictured ones are from Tetbury on Boxing Day last year after we'd gone for a walk at Westonbirt Arboretum with friends. They and the crisp winter's day added a real sparkle to my mood; I also have tree seat envy.

Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year, wherever you may be :)

  1. We use to enjoy visiting Westonbirt when we lived near by. We do still do so from time to time and this summer we met up with friends at the Hare and Hounds.

  3. It's a lovely idea although I'm not sure that hanging baubles would be there in the morning around my way. I read yesterday of a nearby home owner who had her expensive wreath stolen from the front door overnight!

  4. Do I see your reflection in the bauble VP? Sadly I have to echo Caro's comment. I think that such adornments wouldn't last long in these 'ere parts. I wish you and NAH a Happy Christmas and hope that the new year treats you gently xxx

  5. Lovely idea!
I haven't been here for a long time, this year has been so busy with renovations of my house - but I just wanted to pop in and wish you Happy Christmas and all the best for 2018!

  7. Our local National Trust decorates their kitchen garden with lovely arches decked in baubles, I certainly intend to join in next year!
